Talk notes: Have you ever have a "yuck" kind of a day? We're all familiar with those days in which there's no passion to do anything at all, there's no energy, everything seems meaningless, and our personal forecast looks dreary.

But why would we ever sit and not like what the day has brought? Why don't we want what we call a "yucky" day? Here's the answer: Because we don't know what to do with it.

You don't know what to do with what you have been given in the moment. But here's an amazing, life-changing fact: you are not supposed to know what to do with what you have been given. Did you notice that the weight you've been wrongly carrying around for years was just lifted off of your shoulders?

We do not know what to do with the emptiness we sometimes feel, but we are not intended, of ourselves, to do anything at all towards the emptiness. Yet as we are now, whenever that feeling of emptiness sets in, we know exactly what we need to do to alleviate it, and it usually involves some type of distraction.

It is possible for us to let go of the struggle of trying to figure out what to do about how we feel. We are intended to discover a life in which we are not resisting everything that happens to us. A new kind of energy and passion will be revealed to us, if we will do the work of letting go of the need to know what to do.
