Step Into the Shoes of a Spiritual Warrior

Talk summary: In this short talk, Guy Finley explores how a true spiritual warrior is not someone who imagines future victories to come, but is the individual who is willing to step onto the battlefield and meet what he or she must.

Talk notes: Lock the following statement in your mind and try your best to never forget it: There is no such thing as a failed spiritual warrior who wanders onto the battlefield and is willing to meet what he or she must. Even if that warrior takes only one step before falling down and running away in fear, that warrior does not fail.

You gain more in a moment when you are willing to meet what you must than in thousands of moments in which you imagine a time that you will be free from yourself. The true spiritual warrior is not self-made. It is God who makes warriors out of willing men and women by stripping away all of their fantasies about themselves and leaving them with no choice other than to enter into the battle.
