Take the "i-detector" test. When encountered with an unwanted moment, the consciousness that we presently live from believes that it has been threatened. It believes that it is in its own best interest to lie and create justifications for painful conflict it is in. The resultant anxiety, fear, and anger that is registered in our physical body can be used to see through the lie of the false self. In that moment where you start to feel a disturbance, rather than trying to justify the agenda of that consciousness, agree to submit to an internal "i-detector." Use the sensations running through your body to come awake and see the quality and character of that little 'i,' that part of yourself that pops up wanting to push you through the moment and protect itself with a lie. Don't fall into self-judgment over what you observe. Remember that there is no bad fact about yourself.
