There are some patterns that are a necessary part of greater cycles; they are timeless, true, and required for reconciling Life. Then there are some patterns whose appearance belongs to lesser, lower "powers" seeking substantiation on whatever plane of existence within which they are allowed to manifest. These lower cycles and patterns are in time; their frequency can't be separated from the level of self that's responsible for their manifestation. If we hope to free ourselves from these unwanted patterns, with their inherent pain and limitation, then we must do the inner work to realize the parts of us that are responsible for their recurrence.
