Begin observing the principle of "second force" and work to discern the difference between what's useful and useless. Useful second force can be seen in nature, as when you see the wind going through a tree and producing a natural resistance which serves to strengthen the tree. Useless second force is a psychological state that produces an unnatural resistance within you or others. When you go into a moment with unconscious ideas about it, thinking you already know what's going to happen, negative second force goes before you. All forms of psychological preparation to avoid pain are second force, since the objective of that nature is not to see, but to avoid being seen. Catch examples of useless second force in your own life, such as when you avoid someone you don't want to talk to, or speak arrogantly to someone.
