All psychological suffering exists because of the presence of a "knower." When something happens that we don't want, "it" presents itself to us, and we become It ("It-I"). We then act from a divided mind and a conditioned response, and no change is possible from that. Life wants to teach us, but instead we are limited by serving the "It-I." "There's no growing as long as there's knowing." Our hope must be in what we don't know, for that is the only place that growth can occur. We are created to go beyond ourselves. Find the places in your life, recurring situations or events where you can see a nature acting from a place of "knowing." See the mechanical, never-ending circle of "Problem - Pain - Solution" which leads to nowhere. Dare to let go of that. "Leave the Nest of Negativity." Make it your goal to "See Through It - not just Get Through It." This is what it means to die to yourself moment to moment. This is what it means to be a new and fruitful human being.
