Doing nothing reveals everything. We seem to have all the answers for why we suffer, yet we know nothing about the suffering itself, and the answers we come up with have done nothing to bring an end to the pain. The only reason we suffer over the moment is because we don’t want it to be what it is; the moment seems to be interfering with what we think it should be like. In an unwanted moment, rather than acting on the suffering you feel, do absolutely nothing instead. Don’t take a single thought, feeling, or action toward it. Only by doing NOTHING do you get to see the SOMETHING that is responsible for the useless suffering. There is no other way to reveal that consciousness, because any action it gives you to take toward that suffering is avoiding the fact that it IS the source of the suffering.
