The sense of any disturbance within us is the awareness of being touched by Life. The part of us that resists this unwanted sense of being "upset" by life is, in fact, powerless to restore the equilibrium it feels has been lost. In truth, all forms of painful resistance are the negative effect of an unconscious nature at war with life itself... as it blames life for disturbing its imagined peace.
