Philip February 07, 2024 A recurring impression noticed in this aspirant from many talks of late is "In my weakness is Thy strength made perfect." But I (Philip) has to _see_ this, and come to experience this. And by "this," I mean my weakness. There must be an honest, eyes-wide-open observation of how Philip actually, factually is. (That's why self-honesty [and self honesty] is so vital in this Work.) When there is complete Honesty; when the perception is pure; when the mountain lake is so completely still and offers an absolutely pure reflection; when the mirror is free of distortion and the Viewer is free from filters and buffers and is given vision like that of an eagle.....then (and only then) is there _no difference_ between the Observer and the observed; the Observer _is_ the observed, and in that there exists a Gathering Force, a re-unification, a re-membering, a Oneness. And to that which was formerly 2, a third Presence is revealed-- Awareness of that Oneness, of that process, that phenomenon, that marriage, that Perfect Love. There truly is _no such thing_ as a "bad fact about yourself," because, once faced--"In my weakness is Thy strength made perfect." A few other quotes are connected to this--in my humiliation is my salvation (VH); "one must lose his life in order to gain it;" "the last shall be first, and the first shall be last;" "blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth;" "blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven;" "blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted;" and "blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." This is difficult to express in words, but it is important that I try anyway. My take-away prayer from this is "Let there be no difference between what I actually am in any given moment, and the observation of myself...as I am."

Debbie February 07, 2024 Great comment, Philip! Another recent quote that is connected is "Humility is not the opposite of strength, it is the fulfillment of it."
