Complaining about anything... is one of the main ways the false self tries to convince itself that it knows how life should be unfolding.

The only thing we "gain" each time we complain about some unwanted moment in our life is... we get to do it all over again!
It is impossible to awaken until we understand the uselessness of complaining about anything to anyone at all. When we complain about life, we set ourselves against Life, and reject the very lesson that it has brought to us. Any rejection of what life has brought only ensures it will come again. Recognize the two false beliefs that underlie all complaints: 1) "This isn't supposed to be happening", and 2) "Because of #1, I must escape this". Remember that if I'm complaining, I'm in the hands of a useless nature that has no interest in ever changing. Make a list of some of your favorite complaints (ex. "I have so much to do", "Nobody appreciates me", Judgments of others, etc.). Catch the nature that wants to say "That's just not right!", and instead say to yourself, "Thanks for the Light!". Put your attention on seeing the uselessness of the complaining nature, instead of what it's pointing to.
