Question:

I was surprised to see that your newest book includes an Islamic crescent on the front cover. I have studied Islam and find that it encourages "jihad" against the unbeliever, subjugation and violence towards women, etc. I am hesitant to purchase your book if you are going to cherry-pick inspired kernels of wisdom from inhumane ideology.

Answer:

This is clearly a case of "don't judge a book by its cover." If you read the new material, you would see that what the book helps make clear is the realization that true wisdom, higher self-knowledge, spiritual revelation -- call it what you will -- isn't the possession of any one person, place, religious ideology, or spiritual tradition. We are each and all, regardless of how our beliefs have been framed by our conditioning or experience, the vessel of something sacred, and that calls (to us) to be known. Our true need is to know this truth of who we really are, and our role accordingly in this life. All hatred, all conflict between us and anyone else is the result of having lost this awareness.
