Can you show me a fear? You can tell me what makes you fearful, but you can't point to it. You can't find fear. You find what you're afraid of. It's a ghost. No psychological fear exists without negative imagination.

Fear is a mechanical process which chooses certain images and then resists the images it produced. Then the person mechanically tries to seize control of their life when nothing is really out of control, other than their fear that they'll lose something of value. What makes you more unhappy than your insistence that you know what happiness is? We cling to the part of ourselves that thinks it knows what security, health, and wealth is. Something in us has decided that it knows what goodness, truth, life, love are, and then it impoverishes itself by comparing itself to the lack of it.

A helpful poem when you start to feel any type of fear: "The feel is real but the why is a lie."

Fear is faster than the speed of thought. Thinking about your fears happens after the fear, in an attempt to reconcile it -- but you can't reconcile fear. Acronym "TPIC" - the Temporary Person in Charge which comes to "save" you but actually makes matters worse. When we try to get rid of a fear it's because we think it's greater than we are.

We are victims of unconscious, continuing suffering. We want to become conscious to our suffering. Work to doubt your own fear, worry, anger, resentment. This happens through a mind that is awakening to itself.

Fear is what makes you mismanage your finances because you believe that having more makes you more.
