As you start to do interior work you begin to see that a war is being waged within you, one that you have been complicit with even as it rends you. Now a proper battle of self-discovery begins, and while it's very difficult to be in the throes of this new level of combat, you must stay in it long enough to learn what it means to be a witness of the war versus getting caught up in it.
