The best advice there is -- when it comes to a successful relationship -- is that at least one of the partners (in this instance, you) is able to use that relationship for his or her own spiritual growth. In this instance, refuse to blame your partner for any pain that they seem to produce in you by what they manifest. Remember the golden rule when it comes to your awakening: unwanted conditions -- conflict with others -- does not create the pain we then seek to blame upon them; rather these trials serve to reveal parts of us that are still asleep... with all of their unconscious dark demands (that others be and act as we insist they should be).

All relationships, but especially difficult ones, reveal us to ourselves; they do not create what is unwanted... rather, used properly, they can help reveal and then release us from aspects of our former nature that we can now see no longer serve us in any way. Through this illumination we transcend their negative influences, as well as free ourselves from their grip. To understand this, and to agree to let go of that nature in you as it appears... ensures you continue to grow in Spirit, and so your relationship has the best chance to flourish and prosper.
