We all know the feeling of when life doesn't turn out as we imagined. We can feel trapped and desperate - willing to do anything to escape the pain we feel, or to try to keep in place an image. But we are never trapped by circumstances or events. We are a prisoner of images of ourselves that we know we are not, but are unwilling to die to. We are trapped in a dream that isn't even our dream. The solution is to "Be Myself". Use the pain to remember that Life is showing me that I've identified with an imagined Self in an imagined world. The "feel is real, but the why is a lie". An imagined pain feels real, but can never be resolved except by imagined solutions. Use the pain to "pop the bubble" of the images we have of ourselves, the life we've imagined, the appearance we're trying to sustain that's killing us. Start to see little acts of desperation... saying yes when we want to say no, fishing for a compliment, etc, that we agree to each day. Instead of protecting the desperate imagined Self, use the pain to bring an end to it.
