There is no trying to be empty; with almost no exception, effort is ambition...and though it is full of becoming, it is empty of Being. The darkness of (spiritual) emptiness is inseparable from the Light of awareness by whose grace we are given to see the unthinkable: it is impossible to fill ourselves.
Every relationship that we have in our life -- our contact with each person, place, and event -- serves a very special, if yet to be realized, purpose: it is a mirror that reveals things to us about ourselves that can be realized in no other way. I think this is one of the reasons that so many of us love to be out and about in that great showroom of life called Mother Nature.

And when we think about what we see, what we receive is the content of thought that has stored that experience. We don't receive what is real, alive, changing, creative, and forceful.
