"This is my job." Someone is not aligning with what I want. My actual job is to be completely aware of the elements that are in that moment. To connect "the many" with "the one" that sees it. The completion of the moment is to see all of these things, including the part of me that doesn't want things to be this way. Example: I'm with friends or family and a political debate begins. Is my job to judge? It seems like it because it gives me a familiar sense of self. My actual job is to see the judge. If I really see it, I feel it, and can't be it anymore because it hurts to judge. We have become desensitized to our own pain... it hurts to judge, hate, hold grudges. I mistakenly think my job is to enter into what has just been triggered and to serve its needs. Without awareness, this vicious cycle stays intact. The moment you try to restore yourself to holiness, you have unconsciously done an unholy act. Imagine this moment and every moment you're in is the first day of work. I know I don't work for negativity, jealousy, hatred... if you're seeing these things, you are actually doing your work. You are left with seeing and being made new by the moment. Experiment. Practice the purpose of the moment. Then you'll enter into that which is already done, and you will be completed by your willingness to do the same.
