8 Words that Guarantee You Help From God

When we are in a negative state we are like a man down in a shaft running around stirring up dust, kicking and fighting with the state and weeping and never seeing the rope that has been handed down to us for our rescue. God helps those who help themselves help him. We are meant to receive help. God knows when we are in trouble and need his help. He is just waiting for us to ask. 

Here are the things we do that dig a deeper hole:

1. Fast to blame others for our unhappiness.
2. Denying we are in a well.
3. Dreaming of a future time when we are strong and things are OK.
4. Complaining about it to others and ourselves.
5. Lying or glorifying it. 
6. Hatred and resentment - when you hate in your mind you are no longer in a hole and have assigned blame.

Stop lying, blaming and planning marvelous escapes. Stop glorifying your pain. We don't see God's rope because we won't stop rushing around and kicking up the dust. Stop dumping your suffering onto others. You do not know whose hands you're in, in the bottom of the hole. When negative states come along we say we don't want this and at that instant, simultaneously a fear comes up. We fear what we think has power over us. So we follow the negative state so we can be free of it. We make a deal with the it. We think we're reaching for a rope but we are really digging a hole. We think we are helpless before the circumstances, in the face of the condition that threatens to overwhelm us because there is only us left to deal with the pain. But the pain is in cahoots with the pain. We are not left to ourselves because something higher exists. 

8 Worlds that guarantees help from God are, "This is just between the two of us." When a negative state comes and you feel helpless don't turn to it to help you instead turn to God. Just me and Thee. Don't bring anything else in. Wake up and remember to help God help you. The reason we fear our weakness is because we unconsciously become our weakness and an unholy wholeness takes place and a person becomes fully identified with the negative state. There is no will and once again we find ourselves in the hole. 

Never loss sight of the fact that fear and pain don't belong to you. What produces change is the rope sent to you by God. When it's always between you and God you won't fall into any more holes. Stop helping yourself and you will have an eternal rope.
