- We seek fast relief from our problems. But what we really want is freedom from the consciousness that is the problem-maker.
- Get tired of your own explanations for the pain that you are in.
- The only thing that troubles you about other people is what you want from them.
- The solutions that the unconscious nature prescribes are designed to ensure the continuation of the nature that is prescribing those solutions.
- Doing is downstream from being.
- If you are listening to thought, you are listening to the past. You can't have a thought that isn't connected to the past.
- An unattended mind breeds self-defeat.
- The mind imagines freedom, and then imagines the path to take. Then it needs to imagine what it must do to find freedom from the path it just took.
- The illusion is that the thinker is separate from the thought. There is an observer that can see thinker and thought at the same time.
- Resistance creates the opposite of what it promises.
- Fear can't free you from fear.
- You cannot escape the pain of being a human being. It isn't your pain, unless you imagine the reason for it and then resist it. In creation there is suffering.
- Freedom isn't something we obtain, but something that we remember.
- Only the awareness of yourself can change what is unaware of itself.
- What is authentic awaits you to enter into its life.
