Exercise

Remove and Replace the old "I" with an awareness of "I Am." Anytime you feel a contraction of, for instance, indignation, disappointment, or even pride, notice the instantaneous surge of a strong sense of self that comes with it. Remember that this sensation comes from mechanical identification with a part of you that wants to lend you its existence. Anytime you agree that "I am angry", "I am worried", or "I am great" you have crushed the real "I Am." Use the "eraser" of higher awareness to remove the "I" -- not as an act of conquering that nature but in recognition that it doesn't exist without the "I" you have put in it. Replace it with your awareness that existence IS the very thing you are.
