- We're created with the capacity to understand that we are part of a higher order that is always asking us to outgrow who and what we have been.
- We need a new understanding of order, and the purpose of a true school is to introduce men and women to what higher order is.
- Real beauty is incomparable, which means that there is no "you" there analyzing what is being observed. In fact, in those moments there is no separation between the observer and the observed.
- The feeling of resisting an unwanted moment is always the same, regardless of the condition that is being resisted.
- Real life doesn't come to any conclusions. Real life never stops exploring itself.
- The only reason why we suffer the way we do is that we have come to a conclusion about what unwanted moments mean.

- If you begin to understand the nature of resistance, then you also begin to have a new relationship with what were formerly seen as unwanted moments.
- The business of the past is not your business. Who would you be without thinking about the past, struggling to reach a conclusion?
- The whole idea of coming to a conclusion in order to end conflict IS the conflict.
- There is no moment in which the Divine does not have unfinished business with you. The idea of finishing is a false one, and a painful one. As you learn to cooperate with Divine business, you come to the end of unconscious resistance to unwanted moments.
- The order of mind that we presently live from cannot see anything above itself.
- Spiritually speaking, don't try to bring an end to your pain. Instead, persist with your wish to understand it.
