Classroom Talk: 05/18/2025 - There is no circumstance in our life -- immediate, or seemingly inescapable -- that isn't perfectly suited to help us change the way we see, understand, and ultimately transcend not just the troubled, or otherwise painful moments in our life, but the dark nature (within us) responsible for their reappearance.

Classroom Talk: 05/11/2025 - The only thing good about any negative reaction is the revelation of how useless is that (level of) suffering to change anything about our present nature, let alone the condition it convinces us to blame for its pain.

Classroom Talk: 04/27/2025 - For us, death – even as we “learn to live” in its fearsome shadow – seems to mark the end of all that we have known; a looming “last show” when the theatre will be closed, and the final curtain drawn. But, there is another kind of death; and it is the end of fear: rebirth realized in the voluntary sacrifice, and concurrent death of the “knower”.

Classroom Talk: 04/20/2025 - The life and death of the Christ did not happen two-thousand years ago, any more than the rising and setting of the sun belongs to a particular place and time. Seen, or not, the life of Christ is always now…as is His sacrifice for the sake of the continuing perfection of the human Soul.

Classroom Talk: 03/23/2025 - We can be -- and often are -- sound asleep going through the motions of life with our eyes wide open. To be able to see — to be aware of - what our mind is actually looking at, experiencing, and responding to…is the first step in the process of awakening; it not only strengthens our wish to attend to the present moment, but to remember that any time our mind is unattended…it slumbers in fitful dreams, from which it cannot awaken itself. 

Classroom Talk: 03/16/2025 - It may be said that one finds freedom from suffering over oneself in direct proportion to one's realization that there is no separate self whose suffering is to be resisted.

Classroom Talk: 03/09/2025 - We can't change others – or, for that matter, the purpose of any given moment as it unfolds – but we can work to place one less demand on both. Only in this action can we hope to find the freedom for which we seek, because the only thing that imprisons us – in the end – is our resistance to whatever runs against our deeply seated demands.

Remastered Classic Talk: 02/28/2016 - The inevitable sense of emptiness that eventually nips at the heels of most men and women is the sudden realization that in spite of having "banked" a billion self-stimulating sensations -- even when all have been added up -- they still amount to nothing.
