In a real and sane world, values establish our priorities, so that being responsible, true, and compassionate comes before personal pleasures or self-centered interests. Further (in a real world), awareness establishes these values, so that one cannot act against oneself or the real need of others. This is why Christ said, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's." The two worlds; of practical action and Divine intention; are not in conflict with one another; in truth they are made to serve one another. Take your growing wish and work to be True into whatever worldly works are required of you; bring it with you with every practical action you must take to provide for your loved ones as needed. And then, throughout, as time allows, or when done "rendering unto Caesar," return to attending to the interior world... to nourishing your soul by attending to the heart as you are able.
