I've been listening to the Being Fearless and Free audio album every night for months now. I'm still as afraid as I was before, so I don't hold out much hope that these ideas will give me back my power... (From student correspondence)
The Being Fearless and Free material itself is not supposed to give you back your power any more than an aspirin can heal a headache if you don't put it into your mouth and swallow. Fearlessness is not something you win, like a prize, as much as it is a realization that you have to stop agreeing to feeling frightened over what is nothing more than psychological shadows of one sort or another. We have to take back our life, not expect it to be handed to us on a silver platter. Renew your intention to explore whatever frightens you instead of just hoping it will go away because you don't want it in your life. If we are tired of the chill we feel while standing in the shadow of a tree, we walk into the light of the sun. If we are tired of believing in the lies that fear tells us, we must walk into the truth (act on it) that reveals fear as a hoax. Persist.
