As you grow old and go through physical changes you have the opportunity to let go of the self that is caught up in appearances; You can't know what you haven't been prepared to understand; Everything needs food to grow; Your life is always engaged in the need that dominates you in the moment; What draws you into the desert is what leads you out of it; What you currently call needs are actually wants; There are false needs and true needs, and you don't create either one; There's the pain of refusing to be born and the pain of being born; Eventually you come to understand that you don't need understanding; There is an underlying belief in the divided mind which is that I'm not supposed to be afraid, in pain, alone; Real learning has nothing to do with acquiring knowledge; True learning is sacrifice and dying.
