Awareness

Lewis; What is the nature of the emptiness that we have never been able to escape no matter what we have done?; Depression is the inevitable outcome of misunderstanding. It is a sin (missing the mark) to fall into depression because life has not given you what you want from it.

Whatever storms you are given to face on your long journey back home, work to remember this truth... and be assured the day will dawn when you will know the unconditional freedom you seek: Your struggle is with yourself, and yourself only.

They are intended to produce new insights that change the consciousness of those who allow the truth to act in them; Before rebirth there must come a death. "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." -- New Testament -- There is an order to things that cannot be twisted. True teachings talk about how things have become completely reversed.

Topics covered:  A key does not do any good if it stays in your pocket and if you don't put in the lock and turn it. Likewise, if you don't prove true spiritual ideas for yourself, then the ideas can become worse than useless; What is the one thing that never comes to your mind when you find yourself in a negative state?... That you could actually be interested in what you have no interest in. Our interest is usually in what we have to do in order to escape from the negativity; We are not rightly interested in our suffering. We are wrongly interested in what to do about it. What would happen if we could actually be interested in what we usually have no interest in?

Key Lesson: Awareness of the moment is our consciousness of it. So, the more aware we can be of the whole of our consciousness in any moment, the less there is for us to think about -- let alone try to do, because awareness cannot act against itself. Why? Because the light of awareness isn't divided into what it is aware of, and what it knows about it. It simply sees what is, and that whatever is one with that light is Good.

Topics covered:  Nobody ever believes that they are part of the problem; Why does the possibility of changing seem to become more elusive the older that we get?; There is a possibility of perfection that has nothing to do with thought, but we spend most of our lives lost in thought about how we can achieve an imagined perfection in a time to come.

Rather, we are looking for a new mind that already understands; A moment of beauty is silent because there is no thought involved in it; A mind that is being consumed by itself does not think to itself that it is being eaten alive by its own thoughts.

It is a celestial Law: whatever we resist, we cannot overcome. But there is a still greater Divine Law that the Light that creates shadows is empowered -- before their time began -- to transform and dispel them.
