Experience what it means to be S.A.F.E. when strong feelings and beliefs come up: Stop - Attend - Feel - Enact. Stop: In a moment when you are overtaken by strong feelings such as resentment or anger, come to an interior stop. Don't be taken away by the inclination and its reaction. Attend: See how strong feelings prompt the mind to tell you what the moment means, and choose to let the moment remain "tender." Feel: Feel the reaction of a nature that is trying to escape the moment, and work to feel what is real. Strong feelings are shadow feelings; a real feeling is never strong and it never turns into an ugly feeling. Enact: Put on the "coat of righteousness" and be present to the feeling of a still, small voice. Let your conscience be your guide to feel what is right in a moment. You don't have the capacity to remain in this place yet but your work to stay S.A.F.E. will help you in your development of it.
