Come to the End of All Anxious States

Parts of us push away what is needed in the moment. Every day we find ourselves compromised, trying to get things straightened out. It makes sense to us to be anxious, to feel sorry for ourselves. I don't see that my consciousness has been compromised. No one is present. There's just the things the mind uses to justify itself.

The natural human being lives in a state of relaxed attention- pure awareness. Currently our minds look for images, sensation having become objectified. The mind wants to relive those images again and again. Sensation from image, image from sensation.

We are created with a longing to be permanent. The heart of us is this permanence, but it is wrapped around by a sensuous body, educated by the senses. So we look for permanence through sensations.  Conditions stir our thoughts and emotions. When I have an image of something, I want the sensation. But the sensation does not last. It is insufficient. I'm anxious over my longing to be permanent. But no such arrival, no destination exists.

When the mind comes to the end it has reached the inability to deceive itself. But the mind does not want the end of anything. Life itself is 50% the end. The end is part of permanence.
