Part 1

You can neither control, nor change any anxious thought or emotion that rushes in and sweeps you off of your feet because this "I" -- this sense of yourself suddenly in a struggle to escape a psychological storm -- is itself a part of the squall it now so vigorously resists.

Part 2

Every thought, a blockage.
Every emotion, a limitation.
Every movement, a hindrance to Thee.

Exercise

Don't Make Peace With Yourself

Nothing is more precious to us than our emotions, yet they mask a nature that lives off agitation. This "i" says it seeks "peace", but is instead the very source of the conflict we get caught in. 

In a moment of agitation, fear, worry, etc., work to be an observer of this nature. Don't make peace with yourself. Freedom is not a feeling. The more fully conscious you become of this "warring" nature and its opposing sides, the more clearly you'll see that its promises of "peace" only deliver pain.
