Enlightenment / Awakening

Anybody can do what everybody else does. And what is it that most of us do, whether we want to admit it or not? We usually do the minimum to get the maximum. We can see it everywhere in the world. It's part of a culture today. But we can do so much better than that, and we must if we're going to change our destiny.

Long before it's possible for us to be spiritually reborn, we must first awaken to ourselves. Awakening is the sudden realization that somehow or other what I took to be the only world isn't the only world. Because the way the mind works now, it looks out and there's just this world with you that messes with it and me that wants it right. It's all one world to me.

An ant, Outside, Looking in Upon a window Pain! "I can't," It cried, "Find a way To get beyond this Plane."...

Life will fill Whatever you empty... And whatever you fill, Life will empty. That's the code; The hidden conduct of contentment Wrapped in mystery, Filled with contradiction. No sense in trying to save yourself By holding out; Nothing you have held onto Has filled the hole, has it? Then be hollow. Let the winds of change Play you instead of punish you. Give it away!...

Not through consideration, but in good Conscience, and not by evidence of the senses, but within solitude and silence should we weigh those matters concerning the care of our soul. For unconscious conspiracy rules the masses and its thought forms, though easily apprehended and comforting in nature, betray and blind the Spirit that unaware takes these views as Her own.
