All frustration and the absence of gratitude for life, is because we are addicted to the sense of self that comes from identifying with "what we want". See that everything you give yourself only makes you momentarily "rich". You can't keep trying to give yourself everything you want, and be given a real Life.
Instead of asking what can Life give to you, ask Life: "What can I give to you?". Sell what you call "your life" for what real Life is offering in that same moment. The reward is freedom from yourself and connection with another consciousness that is always being filled by Life.
