False Self

Classroom Talk: 9/26/2003 - Here is a tough spiritual lesson, but one that must be learned before we free ourselves from the circle of false friends: There was once a sheep who kept crying out, "Why do the wolves chase me, bite at my heels, and want to hurt me so?" The Shepherd smiled and replied: "Why do you like to wander through the woods where they live, and what makes you think that when another creature shows you its teeth that it's smiling at you?"

Part 2: The one true God is without a name; an Unknowable Nature whose Truth may be apprehended, but never comprehended. And our unknowable God lives in an equally unknowable Time: The Now; which is why only the Unknown may know itself!

Classroom Talk: 9/4/2002 - When we understand that our true purpose in life is to grow in the Wisdom of God's Plan, and that this Wisdom we seek itself seeks us to help it unfold in Goodness, then we also realize that whatever disappointments we encounter along the Way must themselves be a part of Wisdom's Eternal Plan. It is for this New Wisdom that we are spared from falling through that darkened door called discouragement...
