There is an immense reason why we do not develop spiritually. It is because when it is time to act, our intellects become frozen and get locked up in the trap of "should I" or "shouldn't I.". Instead of properly acting on impulse in the present moment, we have become people who always defer to a conflict that exists in thought. Every impulse to act is the same as the opportunity to discover a deeper relationship with the truth of that impulse, and how we can best be an instrument of it.
Presently our minds are locked up in indecision. Instead of taking action in the moment that an action is required, the mind interferes and gets us locked up in fear, worry and doubt. And the fact is that we will never learn until we start to act on our impulse, as opposed to thoughts about the impulse. We will never know the right thing to do at the moment when an action is required by listening to ourselves think about what actions to take.
