Catch the moments when you're about to be "shanghaied." Be watchful of any form of negativity that starts to draw your attention into a formation of thoughts and feelings -- getting anxious, feeling sorry for yourself, regretting the past. Realize that you are agreeing to allow something inside of you steal your life through identification, and then step out into the light where your identity can't be stolen. See the need for a new kind of diligence to be wide awake. Start over and deliberately make the intention to observe the crook, the crimp. Little by little, as you continue to catch the nature that wants to bludgeon you and carry you away, a higher authority will come in to release you into a part of yourself that can see it coming a mile away.
