Much as a stalking tiger uses woodland shadows to hide its intention from its intended prey, so does (our) weakness hide behind the (momentary) strength of any negative reaction we become identified with... even as it consumes us.

Exercise
Understand the need to free your own mind. You cannot free your mind until you know it is in prison. There is something unseen in your own consciousness that colors and blames the moment as being dark and dangerous, even though the moment has never happened before. The condition cannot produce the pain and negative reactions. The cause is hidden in this consciousness -- a seamless resistance to any moment that threatens what it is identified with. Recognize and escape the cell of self. See where and how you've been made a prisoner of your own tendency to identify with your own reactions. Do not hand yourself over to unconscious thoughts and feelings that imprison you. Begin at the beginning, which is always wherever you are and whatever you're going through. Everything you think you are is a lie. Let the Light of Awareness show you that your present identity is the product of identification. That identity is an illusion. See the prison; free yourself from what you don't know about yourself.
