Topics covered:  Presently you are looking to find your place in life. What you should be doing is seeing what is out of place in your life; Hidden within the reaction that says "Make something happen!" is the unseen belief that you will lose something valuable if you do not. The unseen fear that demands that you make something happen threatens you with loss if you do not do as it commands.

Topic: Dying to the False “Doer" (Remastered Classic Talk) (Classroom Talk 9/10/25)

Student Talks: 8/8/2025 - Given the values of the world in which we live today, it's no small wonder that the first of the beatitudes -- "Blessed are the poor in spirit" -- more often than not proves itself a painful paradox regarding the notion of real wealth; for the truth is -- as Christ taught -- that the less we take ourselves to be, the more we're given to discover all that we are, and forever will be.

Topics covered: Fear tells you what you need to do in order to change the condition, ostensibly so that it will no longer be afraid; Judging yourself for making a mistake seems to prove to you that you are someone who is above those mistakes; Oil and water cannot be mixed together. Neither can freedom and fear. But we somehow believe that obeying fear's commands will eventually lead to freedom; Freedom and fear live in two different worlds.

Topics covered:  "We would not be interested in true interior Work unless somehow, on a daily basis, we lived with an unrequited Love. The capacity to know this Love is already seeded within us; The consciousness that we call "Christ" is the light that dwells within the darkness that the darkness cannot comprehend. The Christ is a living awareness."

Topics covered:  "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." -- New Testament; What if you understood that there is no future in what you are identified with?; Everything about interior work comes down to seeing that you have been blind. The pearl of great price is the capacity to see life through new eyes.

Topic: The Unimaginable Truth that Frees You from Unwanted Moments (Classroom Talk 10/2/24)

Topics covered:  A "winner" according to the world is someone who gets what he or she wants. These "winners" then have to protect what has been won; Real freedom is to no longer feel the need to protect what you believe you have won; A real winner, in the higher sense, is someone who exits the moment with more understanding than when he or she entered into it.

Topics covered:  Seeing what is true is what then allows you to take a new action; You struggle because all you know to do is fight with what you don't want. This is what the world teaches;It doesn't matter how often you rearrange the stuff in your closet, nothing is new.

Topics covered:  What is success? Presently, winning approval is connected to the idea of being a successful human being. That is not success at all. Our ideas of what it means to be successful have destroyed us; True success is to exit each moment with a completely new understanding of yourself; An instant of resistance and limitation is not a punishment, but a pathway to higher understanding
