- The purpose of a parable is to stir a mental, emotional, and physical impression.
- As in the parable of the talents, each person is given talents for the purpose of making the most of what they are given to be. To be the best you can be means to take what you have been given and transform it and increase it in the way only you can do.
- Until we understand why we are drawn to pursue the things we do, we'll never understand their real reward and the true purpose they serve in our life.
- It is only as we discover what the best of ourselves is that we realize, through that discovery, the relationship with that nature that will then instruct us in how to develop what we have been given.
- It is impossible to live with fear, anxiety, or the hope that you or others will change “later” and be your best self.
- You will never be the best you can be until you see you can't be more than what you are given to be in any given moment.
- We need a new definition of what it means to be our best self, and the world can’t give it to us.
- You have the love you do because it has been given to you to discover the source of this love.
- If you waste your life in pursuit of desires, you will exit this body in the same level of consciousness that you acquired and conditioned yourself in while you were here, and nothing will change.
- To really succeed in life is inseparable from being able to see life as it is, without any filters whatsoever.
- I must learn to be aware of and look for any and all impressions, moment to moment.
- A human being is a living impression made in the image of the Divine. We are an impression of the Divine on time, and in time.
- Impression is transformation.
- As long as you fear any impression, you will never know what it means to be the best you can be.
- An impression is the awareness of the opposites.
- An active force must have a passive form to act upon. They are complementary. The passive has no life other than when the active touches it and creates an impression.
- The will of the heaven is meant to be exemplified in the will of the earth.
- To see imperfection perfectly IS the perfection of what is imperfect. They are already one, united in another order of being.
- The best of you walks directly into everything you're given to see in the moment you see it. You allow that which has been revealed to be brought into your awareness.
- Every moment is a new possibility of you discovering the best you can be.
- You must take impressions and turn them into new understanding of how to meet the moment you are in, and agree to go into them with a wish to understand them.
- It is the conflict in the consciousness that tries to change what it’s in conflict with.
- Four things to understand and work with:
#1: Make your own mistakes.
#2: Never waste another moment of your life.
#3: Test everything.
#4: Only extra effort counts. - As long as you regret the past, you miss the opportunity in the present moment.
- You can't be looking for something and also see.
- Everything leads you to the nothingness of yourself. But the nothingness you fear isn’t really nothing — it’s everything.
- Prayer is not meant to be a consolation.
