The vast majority of all (sleeping) human beings believe -- in one way or another -- that they are special; somehow superior to others they judge as less “blessed” than they. But this dream doesn’t free them from the suffering inherent in struggling to protect their favored image of the moment; in fact, the opposite holds true: they live as unwitting captives of a delusion, constantly trying to protect what can’t be protected: the fear that others won’t see them in the same light they see themselves shining in.
