Part 1
Until we can withstand uncertainty without escaping into explanation, fantasy, or any other familiar form of psychological avoidance, we cannot discover what lies beyond it.
Part 2
We can’t manufacture certainty; neither can it be created. And when we do manage to manifest some sense of security vested -- as it always is -- in some worldly power or possession, it is never the freedom promised as we imagined it to be; rather (it is) the herald of some uncertainty yet to be crossed, whose fearful shadow cannot be outrun.
Part 3
What else is anxiety except the attempt to escape the painful uncertainty of some imagined consequence? There is no psychological shelter from fear that fear itself hasn’t created.
Part 4
The present moment is not a result waiting to satisfy an expectation. It is the revelation of a living creation that has neither beginning nor end. Creation is not an equation; to identify with any imagined outcome is to agree to live with the self-created fear of uncertainty.
