Don't look back. Don't turn around and look to thought to rescue you, or memory to save you. There is no judgement of anyone or anything without memory. Every memory begins with a thought. See that what's taking your attention isn't serving you; it's serving something else. Stay in the presence moment and remember that all memories are not brought up by you, but are regurgitated and incomplete. Understand that you've been deceived into looking at virtually every moment of life through 'I's of the past. We are blind and don't see; we fall into thought. It is the nature of sleep to fall down and to forget. Your task is to not sing your familiar song: "You've done me wrong," "Here we go again," "What's wrong with me?" You're no different than the unconscious memory you're revisiting -- they are a singularity. Resistance crystalizes the nature that embraces it. Nothing in the past can solve anything in the present moment. Seeing this will give you the strength to lose your life in order to gain it. God never discourages that which wants to love him.
