Negativity

The fact that we always want something from the moment -- even if it's to not want what it offers or has otherwise come to reveal -- blinds us to the fact that every moment is always giving us... showering us... with the Light of a Life that wants for nothing.

We are born into a universe of exchange, always bathing in a host of light, vibration, and sound, produced by an exchange of infinite bodies that are a part of our reality, both visible and invisible. But how aware am I -- in my body, in my life -- that everything exists as it does for me, even my very breath, because there's an exchange taking place?

When an unwanted moment comes along - there's a stress, a strain, somebody's definitely being negative -- aren't you positive that the reason you're in pain and resisting the condition is because of "what they are"? I'm telling you, that's not the case. They are revealing to you something in your consciousness that you don't know is there! And the only way it stays there, and hidden from you...

Key Lesson: Learn to let your love of exploring new and open spaces replace all of the ever-diminishing pleasures... found in all the old familiar places.

Part 1: Awakening to the presence of some weak, or otherwise painful character at large within us marks the beginning of the end of its command over us.

Part 2: The longer one is able to observe oneself -- all parts of oneself, unadorned -- the less interest one has in being identified with any of these (separate) parts while, at the same time, the more willingly does one commit to do the inner work it takes to witness them.

Part 1: We resist not what we see as being fearful, but rather what fear sees whenever we look at our life through its eyes. And the reason this fearful nature trembles, as it does, resisting its own dark vision, is so that it can feel unsuited to meet the very situation that it has imagined.

Part 2: We are never overpowered by a negative reaction, regardless how strong it may seem; rather we are overcome by misunderstanding our actual relationship with that dark thought, or emotional state.
