Action without knowledge is reckless at best, and is almost always dangerous to everyone involved. Knowledge without action is useless at best, and guarantees that the individual who is "inclined to recline" will remain in the realm of the sleeping intellect.

The one reason we don't change is because it is more comfortable to remain asleep in the realm of the intellect. "Be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (New Testament). We cannot fulfill the purpose of our lives unless we recognize the need to PRACTICE what we know.
Learn to put yourself in places where practice is necessary. You will know the moment when practice is necessary by the fact that almost nothing in you wants to do it. Practice requires SACRIFICE. Practice and be willing to see yourself as you are. Practice and you will be perfected.
