Realize Your Relationship with the Vine of Divine Life and Be Set Free

"Follow the branch to the vine." Almost every waking moment of your life is filled with trying to figure out what you need to do to resolve the latest problem you blame for your pain. The real problem is that you imagine your pain means you are apart from God's life. "There's me, the branch, and then there's the vine, God's life, and I just have to do something to connect myself to it, so that in that connection I will have the divine in my life and finally be free of my pain." Remember that the branch does not exist outside of the vine - they are a singularity. What feeds the branch is what the branch needs in order to pursue and fulfill the purpose of the vine itself. When the "branch" moments come, have the patience to see where it is that you have mistaken yourself as being outside of the light of God. Use the revelation to follow the branch to the vine. Don't imagine the vine: Look for it. Listen for it. Nothing more is required in these moments than to simply be aware of whatever it is that you're being given and shown about yourself. As you work with this you will see that the branch's needs are ceaselessly supplied by the vine, so that the branch can flower and give rise to that relationship endlessly.
