The Simple Life is the Spiritual Life

All human beings have been given a basket at birth of social morals, convention and cultural conditioning that becomes part of their consciousness. They looked into this basket to see how they should feel and react to what life brings them. If the basket doesn't have everything they think they need they try to fill it with what they have named is missing. We believe that in order to be proper human begins we weigh ourselves against the world's values.

We are punished by a stream of false purposes that give rise to false desires. False desires produce false fears because no matter what we get we are still not fulfilled, which produce greater dependency, attachments and more suffer. These new false purposes originate from a culture we unconsciously serve.

Money is a problem for most human beings. It beats us up and steals our energy. It is only a problem for people because it has been identified as being a solution. But the solution it brings only produces more pain. We believe we are only valuable or someone if we possess something. We are a slave to the idea, "If only I could get what I name, I will at last be someone."

Money is only a problem because we think it is a solution. Real solution is to no longer be pounded by desires. Our pain is our God. We do whatever it indicates for us to do. We have named money as our only solution. There is a road that leads to happiness and contentment and there is a road that leads to hell. Believing we can make ourselves happy by adding more things to ourselves is the road to hell. God made us individuals within whom Christ, the light, can deposit a nature that needs nothing but the essence that created it. Put away your childish things. When the pleasure becomes the purpose, you are a goner. Stop being a slave to the idea of what money can do for you. You can never give yourself satisfaction by what you name.
