The Way His Will Works
The one who looks to me for strength... Is not without my own.
The one who calls on me for peace... Finds quietude is sown.
The one who reaches for my hand... Will never walk alone.
The One who comes to me for love... His heart is made my home.
Do you ever ask yourself, "What on earth came over me?" When this happens a person realizes that there is a will that is not his or her own working its way in them. We need a new will.
We are going to discuss the follow bible verses in this talk, "God helps those who help themselves," "Not my will but thy will be done" and His holiness is his shield." All three of these verses mean exactly the same thing and compliment each other. "God helps those who help themselves," represents an act of free will, a choice by a person not to give up something but to turn oneself over to something in order to accomplish it. We have to be active to do this. Knock and the door will be open, act and you shall receive, seek and you shall find. These are all active.
When we are taken over, something always explains to us why we were the effect of this negative movement. If a human being wants God to help them they have to understand what it means to be conscious cause instead of unconscious effect. When an event comes we don't like, a certain sense of self is awakened and is activated and gets us into trouble. This is a creation of an antagonist. The event awakens a powerful negative reaction, which awakens an, "I" that is an extension of this reaction. Negativity is the vine and we are the branch that is taking our sustenance from this poisonous vine. This self can't choose independently from the negativity that is feeding it. This self or "I" is the unconscious effect of the negative state. We are victims of our own sleeping spiritual life. To be cause an individual must become conscious of these time bombs.
There are forces created to transform this world but because the animal nature rules a man everything is turned upside down. If we want to change our world we have to consciously refuse to go along with negative forces and align ourselves with the Light, with right principles that can regenerate our world. Repent means to turn around.
So how can a person be cause? "He who knows not Love knows not God. Love can't reach a human being that is in an unconscious state. It is love that can save and heal our hearts. Real power comes with aligning ourselves with love. Do you remember the first time you fell in love? Being in love has to do with love reaching for you. In the beginning we love what we love. Love was first. We love what is already our own. It isn't the person we love but what is inside of us that is in relationship to them. We are connected through love's life and where it meets inside of us. It is the same with hate. We are connected to what is already a seed inside of us. We need to love the strength of God.
Perfect love cast out fear. The moment we find ourselves compromised, being swept away by a negative force, the effect of that unconscious force that "I" is the master of us. But in these moments we can remember the love of peace, we can remember the love we have for strength. We have to begin the shift from being unconscious effect to conscious cause by remembering the Love of Truth; God and he will give us his power. Not my will but thy will be done. I give up my will so that his will can be my cause. Remember the right order of things. Stop having faith in what is killing you. Cast out fear by finding the one true love. Bring into the darkness the Light that can establish a new order.
