Our greatest gift -- our highest possibility -- may be summarized as follows: not only are we created to give ourselves to what we love, but we are able to discern the difference between an order of Love that sacrifices itself for the sake of something greater than itself, and a kind of love that lives only to give itself what it imagines will make it great.

Though our eyes are yet to be able to see it, every "moment" is a ceaseless processing of life's higher possibilities... wherein, seen as a whole, it is indisputable evidence of the continuing revelation of God's perfection.
However, we can see the operation of this immutable law in nature, accordingly: something must die that another might be reborn; all in one, each fulfilling its essential role in this holy process.
Only in nature, no creature has a choice whether or not to suffer for the sake of this sacrifice.
But we do.
