Unwanted moments don't exist without your reaction to them. All reactions are born out of a summary resistance to what your own consciousness has defined. Reactions are mechanical; they are passive, limited responses to what is outside of you. Though they feel like a "strength," they are actually a source of weakness. You cannot stop the reaction. Use it, instead of being used by it. "You go on without me." In any unwanted moment, become fully aware of your initial reaction to it. Don't try to "escape" the reaction; become the witness of it. Drop the reaction. Be present to what is trying to pull you into its world. The more you work to do this, the more you will begin to fulfill the true purpose of your existence and be transformed into something new again and again.
