Real Life is Found Outside the Line

Story: Anthropologist discovers a remote tribe and gives them a bucket to carry fresh water from a distance. When he returns to tribe the following year, they still have no water and the chief had turned the bucket into a throne for himself. "Why are you interfering with our culture? It's for me to sit on and be worshipped."

Truth has been turned into self-love. What has turned us into an upside-down race of people? We have a protective mechanism and we want nothing to disturb us.

We live in lines of thought. The world has no water in it. Everything is shut down by the one who wants to get in line. How long are we waiting in line for a life? We do what's bad for us by being in a line. We follow whoever we're following - a line to what we think is success and happiness.

Truth says, "Break out of the line." We are engrossed in sensation instead of consciousness. I am afraid that if I don't do what I'm supposed to something bad will happen to me.

To step out of line, I must step out of myself. We have no capacity to see everything wrong and we don't have a clue what to do about it. We do what sensation demands because it makes me feel special. Letting life drift is a kind of line.

The end of the line doesn't exist, but the self identifies with it.

Story: A young man and woman are on a luxury cruise liner where they are engaged in all sorts of activities. But it dawns on them that the boat never arrives any place and 20 years later they are still on it.

Then they begin to study the ship and find some dingeys to make their escape. They see a light in the distance and begin to paddle out to it.
