Allow the moment to fulfill its purpose. In a moment of conflict we presently default into expressing the reaction offered by the very consciousness that has created the conflict. We are coerced into a feeling being overwhelmed, not knowing what to do about the conclusions imagined by that consciousness. What we are overwhelmed by is our own conclusion as to the meaning of the moment. See that the thought of what you need to do to not feel overwhelmed comes to you from the consciousness that feels overwhelmed. The moments where we run from the condition that challenges who we think we are is the same as running into the hands of something that does not want us to know what it means to be an inwardly free human being. Rather than continue our attempts to escape that consciousness and the threat it sows into its conclusions, we must try something new. In an unwanted moment where you suddenly begin to feel overwhelmed, turn around and understand from yourself that the only thing you must do and be right now is present to yourself. In this present moment is the discovery that there is no one there that needs to be rescued. Stop trying to save yourself. There is no real, permanent, lasting self there that needs to be saved. That very understanding is the seed of something celestial.
