Unwanted moments, or crises, are upsetting because they upset familiar patterns, so our familiar identities are shattered. Something is us feels a "Sudden Sense of Being Disconnected" (S.S.O.B Syndrome). It wants to reconnect to "what it once was." But unwanted moments, or crises, aren't meant to punish us. They can be used to change us if we work to reconnect to what is True (and has never left us), rather than what is old and familiar. Instead of following habitual, powerful reactions that tell us "what this means" and "what we should do about that," work to "Wait For the Message." Pause as best you can, in the moment between the reaction and the response. It is there that you'll find that the help you need is already available when you need it. If we can do this, we not only change ourselves, we can change the world.
